Our Story

The farm is a home to many well-trained women, youth, former poachers and former forest encroachers who used to destroy forests through charcoal burning in the Semuliki Game reserve.

The Game reserve was a risky and precarious venture and many lost lives and their family members through different activities that took place in the game reserve which included; charcoal burning, poaching, firewood collecting and more.

Mugamba Farm therefore provided a viable alternative through provision of land for Agriculture to over 100 hundred families hence relieving pressure from the Game Reserve and engaging in more lucrative activities at the farm.

We portion each farmer a piece of land, provides seedlings of beans, cowpeas, onions, tomatoes, water melon, Irish potatoes and their crops to be planted and fertilisers to the farmers who plant and take care of them as they also attend to Mugamba coffee with in their apportioned pieces of land.
